Employees Tournament 2025–26 (Men & Women) commences at JU

Jammu April 21: The University of Jammu Employees Tournament for the session 2025–26 commenced today with great enthusiasm at the Gymnasium Hall, University of Jammu. The tournament is being organized in the disciplines of Carrom and Badminton for both Men and Women categories.

The event is being held under the overall supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Chairman, Campus Sports Committee, and the active coordination of Sh. Raj Kumar Bakshi, Incharge PTI, Campus, University of Jammu.

With a clear focus on promoting physical well-being, encouraging a healthy work-life balance, and fostering camaraderie among the teaching and non-teaching staff, the tournament has emerged as a highly anticipated annual sporting tradition within the University. It provides a dynamic platform for staff members to engage with one another outside their professional spheres, thereby strengthening interpersonal relationships and promoting a sense of unity and teamwork.

Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba highlighted the importance of sports and physical activity in reducing stress, enhancing productivity, and nurturing a cohesive and vibrant institutional environment. He further stated that such initiatives are essential for the holistic development of any academic institution.
