Bhaderwah Campus Organizes Workshop on “Career Development in the World of Artificial Intelligence”
Bhaderwah, August 31: The School of Management Studies (SOMS), Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu, in collaboration with The Future Foundation, organized a workshop on “Career Development in the World of Artificial Intelligence” to sensitize students about the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on careers, employability and the future of work.
The workshop was organized under the leadership of Prof. Rahul Gupta, Rector, Bhaderwah Campus, with Dr. Umesh Choudhary, Incharge Head, School of Management Studies, as the overall coordinator.
The programme was graced by Sunil Bhutyal, ADC Bhaderwah, as the Chief Guest. Mr. Asim Aftab, Senior Product Manager, PwC Middle East, delivered the keynote address, while Rafaqat Rasool, Head of Programme–Technology and Innovation, The Future Foundation, interacted with the students and shared practical insights into emerging technologies.
In his message, Prof. Rahul Gupta congratulated SOMS for organizing the workshop and emphasized the importance of providing students with practical exposure to emerging technologies. He assured that similar capacity-building initiatives would continue to be organized at the Campus.
Students from BBA, B.Com, MBA and Ph.D. programmes actively participated in the workshop. Addressing the gathering, Sunil Bhutyal, ADC Bhaderwah, emphasized the importance of developing technological awareness, practical skills and the responsible use of AI.
Mr. Asim Aftab highlighted emerging career opportunities, changing workplace requirements and the need for continuous learning and skill enhancement in an AI-driven economy.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Umesh Choudhary and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Alyas Ahmed. The programme was effectively anchored by Mr. Rohit Singh Katal, Ph.D. Scholar, SOMS, with faculty members and students contributing to its successful organization.
The workshop concluded with an emphasis on continuous skill development, adaptability, creativity and ethical use of technology to help students successfully navigate the rapidly changing world of work.
Dr. Rohit Bhagat, Dr. Mohammed Avais, Dr. Umar Sadeeq, Dr. Alyas Ahmed, Surbhi Langeh and Asma Jamil actively participated in the programme and contributed to its smooth organization and successful execution.
