Campus Placement Drive for Bharti Airtel Foundation organised by the Placement Cell, JU

Jammu, April 9, 2026: Placement Cell, University of Jammu successfully organized a campus placement drive for the Bharti Airtel Foundation in collaboration with Department of Lifelong Learning, JU. The drive was conducted under the patronage and guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof. Umesh Rai. The drive aimed at recruiting talent for the Bharti Airtel Foundation’s Quality Support Program. The drive witnessed active participation of candidates from the concerned departments who had earlier registered for the said placement opportunity. 

Established in 2000, the Bharti Airtel Foundation has been a pioneer in transforming rural education across India. With a dedicated focus on underprivileged children and girl child education, the Foundation operates on impactful initiatives such as the Satya Bharti School Program and various scholarship schemes for students.

The drive commenced with a comprehensive pre-placement talk by Mr. Rikhi Ram Regmi, HR Head, Bharti Airtel Foundation. In his address, Mr. Rikhi gave a detailed presentation on the Foundation’s mission and the specific requirements of the present job profile. He also added that such drives open doors for young professionals to develop job perspectives in their early careers. Following this, Mr. Anil Bhat, Regional Head, Bharti Airtel Foundation, J&K engaged with the candidates to prepare them for the rigorous computer-based evaluation process meant for shortlisting the candidates for the final interviews.

A vibrant Q&A session was held where students clarified doubts regarding career growth and the Foundation’s social impact. Mr. Rikhi Ram Regmi and his team addressed all participant queries. The formal assessment test of the students registered for placement drive was conducted by Mr. Mudasir Shah and Mr. Sourabh Sharma, Project Lead, Bharti Airtel Foundation, J&K. 

Earlier, Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Registrar & Dean Students Placement, University of Jammu welcomed the participants and introduced the objective of conducting such events at University of Jammu. He emphasized the role of Placement Cell, JU in facilitating placement opportunities for the students and contributing to the society at large.

Prof. Priyanka Sharma, Director, DLL University of Jammu in her address motivated the students to be open with a positive mindset to be the ultimate beneficiaries of such placement opportunities. She further expressed her thanks to the Placement Cell for organizing such events. 

The event was coordinated by Dr. Aubid Hussain Parrey, Co-ordinator Placement Cell, JU who also delivered the formal vote of thanks. He expressed gratitude to all who directly or indirectly facilitated the successful conduct of the event, especially Prof. Amisha Gupta, Director TBS for facilitating the venue. Ms. Shilpa Chaku, Training & Placement Officer, JU facilitated in the successful execution of the said Placement Drive.
