JU organises career counselling programme for the students of GHSS Paloura

Jammu, November 22: Employment Information Cum Advisory Bureau (EIAB), Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu in collaboration with Govt. Higher Secondary School, Paloura organised a one day career awareness programme on Communication Skills and careers after 10+2.
The programme was held under the overall supervision of Dr. Priyanka Sharma, Director, DLL, University of Jammu and Mrs. Shikha Malhotra, principal of the school. The principal mam of the school inaugurated the programme. Dr. Rewa Khajuria coordinated the programme. She also apprised the students about importance of career counseling.
The special resource persons were Dr. Yashpaul Khajuria, Assistant Professor, School of Biotechnology, University of Jammu and Dr. Shubhra Jamwal , Assistant Professor, Govt. College of Education, Jammu.
Dr. Yashpaul Khajuria informed the students about the significance of career counselling especially in the present scenario. He talked about career options in sciences and allied fields after 10+2. Dr. Shubhra Jamwal spoke about basic skills of communication, conversation starters and verbal and non verbal communication. About 64 students of the school attended the programme.
Akshara Salotra student of the school conducted the programme. Mrs. Bhavna coordinator of the career counselling cell of the school presented formal vote of thanks.
