CDOE, JU beautification drive culminates with creative celebrations

Jammu August 04: The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), University of Jammu, organized a month-long Beautification Drive including activities such as painting, chart-making, and campus clean-up efforts. The initiative aimed to encourage creativity, environmental consciousness, and a sense of community engagement among students and staff.

The drive was formally inaugurated by Prof. Pankaj K. Srivastava, Director, CDOE, who appreciated the enthusiasm of the volunteers and emphasized the importance of maintaining a vibrant and clean campus environment.

The concluding day was marked by an interactive session with Prof. Srivastava, who commended the collective efforts of students and staff in transforming the CDOE surroundings. He highlighted how such initiatives not only enhance the physical environment but also strengthen the institution's role in promoting sustainability and social responsibility.

Faculty members, administrative staff, and NSS volunteers actively participated in the drive. Notable contributions were made by volunteers Ruby Gandotra, Radhika Dogra, Ananya Gupta, Taniya Sharma, Mehak, Shikhar, Ashima, Gurvinder Kour, and Ekjot Singh.

Dr. Rajber Singh Sodhi, Programme Officer, NSS Unit V, presented a brief report on the month-long activities and delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the dedication and teamwork that brought the initiative to life.
