JAMMU, OCTOBER 8: The International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu, organised an industrial visit for MBA-International Business students under its Industry Immersion Programme to RJ Corporation-CreamBell Plant (Devyani Food Industries Ltd.), SIDCO Industrial Area, Kathua.
The visit provided the students an opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to conglomerate business models, plant manufacturing and pan-India distribution networks, thereby enabling the International Business students to connect their classroom learning with industrial practices.
Professor Neelu Rohmetra, Director, ICccR & HRM, expressed contentment over the industrial exposure provided to the students and stressed the need for incorporating such industry exposure into the curriculum. She further emphasised that industry-academia interfaces need to be leveraged by young minds, as such exposure helps shape their career trajectory in a professional manner.
Mr. Rajiv Rai, Vice President, Devyani Industries Ltd., along with his team, interacted with the visiting students and deliberated upon various national and international collaborations, the conglomerate business model, quality certifications and consumption trends across India and neighbouring countries. The students were also briefed about assembly line manufacturing, warehousing, national and international quality standards and the pan-India distribution network.
