Gandhian Centre, University of Jammu, Pays Floral Tribute to the Father of the Nation

On the occasion of the 78th death anniversary of Shri Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, the Gandhian Centre for Peace & Conflict Studies, University of Jammu, in collaboration with the Dhanvantri Library, paid a floral tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

The programme began with the offering of floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi, followed by a one-minute silence observed as a mark of respect to the great leader and his enduring ideals of truth, non-violence, and peace.

On this occasion, a book exhibition was also organised, showcasing the life and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi. The exhibition aimed to spread awareness about the relevance of Gandhian thought in contemporary society.

The event was attended by faculty members, staff, and students of the University. Prominent among those present were Prof. Garima Gupta and Prof. Dushyant Kumar Rai from the Department of Journalism and Media Studies, and Prof. Jeevan Jyoti from the Department of Commerce, along with other members of the academic community.

The programme was organised under the guidance of Dr. Vikram Singh Sahi, Director, Gandhian Centre for Peace & Conflict Studies.
