Day-3 of ‘Inter Zonal Display Your Talent’ at JU
Jammu, Dec 18: On the 3rd day of ‘Inter-Zonal Display Your Talent 2025’ being organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, the events of Group Song Indian, Light Vocal Solo, Classical Vocal Solo, Classical Instrumental P. & N.P. were conducted at University of Jammu.
The new format of Display Your Talent has been envisioned by Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu which has witnessed a larger participation of the students from the far-flung areas. All the affiliated colleges from Jammu province were distributed into 5 Zones; Tawi Zone, Pir- Panjal Zone, Devika Zone, Ravi Zone and Chenab Zone where Zonal Level Display Your Talent competitions were organized and the winners of those competitions are now competing in Inter Zonal Level.
The esteemed adjudicators of the events included Sh. Bhupinder Malhotra, Dr. Vivek Verma, Dr. Kuldeep Raina, Dr. Renu Sehgal, Mr. Sami Feroz and Ms. Tanya Gupta. Dr. Harjit Singh, Dr. Sandeep Singh, Dr. Bandana Thakur, Dr. Vishabjeet, Dr. Surinder Kumar, Dr. Inderjeet Singh were the Teacher Incharges.
In Group Song Indian, GCW Parade, Institute of Music and Fine Arts and GDC Hiranagar stood First, Second & Third respectively.
In Light Vocal Solo, The First position was clinched by Ritesha Manhas from GCW Parade while Netra Tickoo from GCW parade and Rakesh Kumar from IMFA stood second and third respectively. Certificate of Merit was awarded to Mohd. Toheed from GDC Poonch.
In Classical Vocal Solo, Ritesha Manhas and Mahima Chibber from GCW Parade stood First & Third respectively while the second position was secured by Habil Subh from GLDM, Hiranagar.
In Classical Instrumental Percussion, Ajay & Gautam from Institute of Music & Fine Arts secured First and Second Positions respectively. In Classical Instrumental Non Percussion,
Narinder and Tashi Dorje from IMFA stood First and third respectively while the Second Position was secured by Sidharth Bhogal from GDC Nagrota.
All the winners of the First positions would be felicitated on 19th December 2025 at 4 pm at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu.
The events of DSW are conceived, planned and organised by the team consisting of Prof. Prakash Antahal (Dean Students Welfare), Prof. Monika Chadha (Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee), Prof. Sarika Manhas (Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee), Dr. Pritam Singh (Associate Dean SW), Dr. Shallu Sharma & Dr. A.R. Manhas (Deputy Chief Proctors), Dr. Harleen Kaur & Dr. Ripudaman Parihar (Assistant Dean, SW), members of Campus Cultural Committee, Ms Mansi Mantoo (Media Officer), Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor) and Ifra Kak (Cultural Officer). The events were witnessed by the members of Campus Cultural Committee, teachers, students, scholars of the University of Jammu and prominent members of the civil society. The sound was looked after by Kulbhushan Thakur and Arif Paul..
On 19th December 2025, the events of Classical Dance, Group Dance Folk and Creative Choreography would be conducted at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu, 10am onwards.
