The Department of Lifelong Learning (DLL), University of Jammu, had the privilege of hosting its distinguished super senior and accomplished professional, Mr. Lakhwinder Singh, Senior Manager at SINE – IIT Bombay and Doctoral Researcher in Entrepreneurship at the School of Management, IIT Mandi, who visited the department today and shared his inspiring academic and professional journey with students.

 

During the motivational and interactive session, Mr. Singh spoke in depth about his journey from student life to working with some of India’s premier innovation and entrepreneurship institutions. He shared valuable insights into the startup ecosystem, innovation management, and the evolving opportunities in the field of entrepreneurship.

 

He emphasized the importance of hard work, consistency, discipline, and lifelong learning, and encouraged students to believe in their potential and explore new-age career paths alongside conventional options. His real-life experiences of mentoring startups and supporting innovators deeply inspired the students.

 

Mr. Singh also guided students on career planning, higher education opportunities, leadership skills, and entrepreneurial thinking, stressing the importance of adaptability and continuous skill development in today’s dynamic professional environment.

 

The session concluded with a highly engaging question-and-answer interaction, where students enthusiastically sought guidance on academics, careers, and personal development. The visit proved to be extremely enriching and left a strong motivational impact on the students.
