University of Jammu begins with medals in Khelo India University Games 2025 at Rajasthan

Two individual medals bagged by University of Jammu in Fencing.

Nov 26: Shivansh Kapoor won Bronze Medal in Epee Individual Event. He lost to Sufiyan of Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar in a close contested semi-final with final score 13-15 where as as Harshit Kohli beat the defending champion Abhay Shinde of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Marathwada University Maharashtra with 15-12 in the Final of the Sabre Individual event and clinched the Gold Medal for University of Jammu.

Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu on the behalf of the University of Jammu and on his own behalf congratulated the medalists and entire fencing team who brought laurels for the University. He also appreciated the efforts and dedication of Sh. Ajay Kumar (Coach) and Mr. Vikas Karlopia (University Contingent Manager) who played crucial role in this achievement.

Dr. Daud further extend his gratitude to Sh. rashid Ahmed Chowdhary, Ujwal Gupta, Sh. Bhisham Singh, Sh. Padam Dev Singh for their Collective coaching and guidance to achieve this success.
