Two Day workshop on Systematic Literature Review, Meta-analysis commences at JU
Jammu September 10: P.G. Department of Commerce, University of Jammu, organized a two-day workshop on Systematic Literature Review and Meta-Analysis.
On the first day today, the session was dedicated to Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and was conducted by Dr. Jaspreet Kaur, Professor at the Delhi School of Business. A seasoned academician with more than 16 years of expertise in consumer behavior, sustainability, and market research, Dr. Kaur has significantly contributed to the scholarly community through numerous publications in high-impact A and B category journals.
During her session, Dr. Kaur provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the systematic literature review process. She explained how SLR enables researchers to identify, evaluate, and synthesize scholarly work in a structured, transparent, and replicable manner, thereby reducing bias and enhancing the credibility of findings.
Covering essential steps such as formulating precise research questions, designing search strategies, applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, and synthesizing literature, she illustrated how SLR serves as the foundation of evidence-based research.
The lecture was highly engaging, as resource person combined theoretical insights with practical illustrations, encouraging students and faculty to adopt systematic approaches in their research. By underlining the growing academic relevance of SLR, she emphasized its role in strengthening doctoral and postgraduate research and in aligning studies with global standards.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Jeevan Jyoti, Head, Department of Commerce, highlighted the importance of systematic literature review in enhancing the depth, rigor, and quality of research.
Dr. Harleen Kaur coordinator of workshop extended gratitude to the resource person for her valuable contribution and to faculty members and students for their active participation.
The day concluded with an interactive Q&A session marking the first day of the workshop as an enriching academic experience for all participants.
