Department of Computer Science and IT, Kathua Campus organized a Campus Placement Drive for MCA, B.E./B.Tech. (CSE & IT) and M.Tech. (CSE & IT) students through virtual mode to provide placement opportunities to the students of Kathua Campus in particular and other institutions of the region in general. The drive was conducted by Code Garage Tech. Mohali- a software development company. Code Garage Tech. is an IT firm providing high quality web and mobile solutions to clients all over the world. Ankush Gupta, Lead Senior Software Engineer, Dikshit Tiwari, Senior Software Engineer and Poonam Thakur, HR Manager represented the company. The Placement Drive was conducted for two consecutive days and it received an overwhelmed response from plethora of students who registered for the drive. In the drive, Abhishek Sharma, Parul Sambyal and Kanav Krishan were shortlisted from Kathua Campus. Shubham Kumar Tiwari was shortlisted from Chandigarh University Punjab,. Arun Kumar, Avikash Kumar, Namrita Bhasin, Shyamli Sharma, Ankush Randhawa, Surishta Devi and Sumit Sharma were shortlisted from Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), Jammu. Saksham Bhakhri and. Chahat Gupta were shortlisted from Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology (MBSET) Jammu. Nikita Parihar, Nitish Sukha and Rhitik Mehra were shortlisted from Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) Jammu. The shortlisted candidates have to appear for the on-site final round interview in the weekend. This successful Placement Drive was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Rector, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu. Dr. Kilam appreciated the efforts of the Incharge Head, Dr. Sourabh Shastri and advised the students to participate in such placement drives with full enthusiasm and make full use of professional and technical skills for being employed by various organizations. Further, she assured the students a promising future, for many more companies will be contacted in the forthcoming time to create placement avenues for the students. Dr. Sourabh Shastri, Incharge Head, MCA coordinated the whole process of placement drive. He emphasized on the importance of campus placements and assured the company that they will get the best students from Kathua Campus.
