The Business School, JU signs MoU with ICT Academy

The Business School, University of Jammu has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICT Academy. The MoU was signed by Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Registrar University of Jammu and Mr. Lovetesh Kumar, Project Manager, ICT Academy in the presence of Vice-Chancellor, Professor Manoj Dhar. Emphasising the need for such collaborations Vice Chancellor, said “This undertaking would not just help in fostering the relationship between the two partner institutions but would also promote the professional development of students”. Sharing his happiness on University of Jammu joining hands with ICT academy, Professor Manoj Dhar appreciated the efforts of Prof. Sameer Gupta, Director, The Business School and remarked that this collaboration will not only help in developing the skills of the stakeholders through enhanced academic initiatives but would also bring new opportunities for them. Prof. Arvind Jasrotia appreciated the initiative for collaborative work done by faculty members of The Business School and ICT Academy.

The MoU has been signed under Jammu & Kashmir Employability Enhancement Training Program (JEET) an initiative of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). ICT Academy is the implementation partner of this unique project – JEET. The Collaboration with ICT academy will focus on the Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, Industry-Academia Interaction, Digital Empowerment and Research & Publications in the future. This initiative would try to bridge the gap between Industry and Academia.

The objective of the MoU is to impart knowledge and hone the skills of Management students. 58 students of The Business School have already registered for a training program on Digital Marketing powered by GOOGLE. On successful completion of the program, students would get a joint certification from ICT Academy, AICTE and GOOGLE.  ICT academy would facilitate the placement of these students by inviting companies of repute.

Earlier Prof Sameer Gupta, Director, The Business School, welcomed the dignitaries and gave a detailed insight about the MoU. Prof. Versha Mehta Dean, Business Studies suggested the course to be given credits which would be added to the credit bank for the students under New Education Policy. The programme witnessed the presence of Prof. Alka Sharma, Dr. Amisha Gupta, Dr. Rachna, Dr. Saloni and Dr. Shelleka from The Business School.
