Jammu, October 12, 2026: The Udhampur Campus (Garnai-Lotta), University of Jammu, organised a cleanliness drive within the campus premises under the Parisar Swachhta Abhiyan to promote cleanliness, hygiene and environmental responsibility. The initiative aimed to reinforce the principle that maintaining clean surroundings is a shared institutional responsibility requiring sustained participation, individual accountability and responsible practices. Addressing the participants, Prof. Yash Pal Sharma, Rector, Udhampur Campus, emphasised that cleanliness is essential for maintaining a healthy learning environment. “Cleanliness begins with personal hygiene practiced every day, then extends to the community, and ultimately shows up at the national level,” he said.
