University of Jammu organises Certificate Distribution Ceremony for Taxation Courses
Jammu, June 22: The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), University of Jammu, organised a Certificate Distribution Ceremony for participants who successfully completed the three-month Certificate Courses on E-Filing of Income Tax Returns and Goods and Services Tax (GST).
The courses were designed to equip learners with practical knowledge and professional skills in the areas of taxation, income tax return filing, GST compliance and contemporary tax practices.
On the occasion, Prof. Pankaj K. Srivastava, Director, CDOE, University of Jammu, distributed certificates among the successful participants. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Sandeep Kour Tandon, Coordinator, M.Com (ODL), CA Nitin Gupta and CA Piyush Gupta.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Pankaj K. Srivastava underscored the importance of skill-based and employment-oriented education in the contemporary academic environment. He stated that CDOE is currently offering Certificate Courses in GST and E-Filing of Income Tax Returns and is set to launch a Certificate Course in General Accounting shortly. He also announced that admissions for the next batch of these certificate courses will commence in July.
During an interactive feedback session, participants appreciated the well-structured curriculum, practical orientation and hands-on training provided through the programmes. They commended the efforts of CDOE and the resource persons for delivering comprehensive training that effectively bridged the gap between theoretical concepts and professional practice.
Several participants shared their success stories, stating that the knowledge and skills acquired during the course had enabled them to start their own income tax return filing services. Some learners also expressed their aspirations to expand their ventures and establish dedicated ITR facilitation centres in the future.
The certificate programmes were organised under the coordinatorship of Prof. Gurjeet Kour and were conducted by Dr. Deepti Abrol and Dr. Avantika Bakshi, Teacher In-Charges, Commerce.
