University of Jammu Employees Tournament 2025–26: Carrom, Badminton & Chess Events Witness Enthralling Finals

Jammu, April 24: The University of Jammu Employees Tournament 2025–26 continued with high energy and vibrant participation as the finals of Carrom and Badminton events, along with exciting rounds of Chess, were held at the Gymnasium Hall, University of Jammu. With active involvement from employees across departments, the tournament served as a platform to promote health, camaraderie, and the spirit of sportsmanship.

CARROM FINALS

Women’s Singles Final:

Ms. Sunny Bhat put up a stellar performance to defeat Ms. Deepika Singh 2–0, claiming the Women’s Singles title.

Women’s Doubles Final:

The duo of Ms. Pooja Manhas and Ms. Riya Bajral triumphed over Dr. Samita Wadhera and Ms. Mamta Verma with a convincing 2–0 win.

Men’s Singles Final:

Dr. Deepak Anand secured the Men’s Singles title by overcoming S. Popinder Singh in a close contest 1–0.

Men’s Doubles Final:

Dr. Noor-ul-Asrar Beg and Sh. Sachin Bhatia displayed excellent coordination to defeat Sh. Vishal Sharma and Sh. Vaibhav Puri 2–0.

Dr. Sandeep Arya defeated Sh. Munish Sharma 2–0

Dr. Tarseem Singh defeated Sh. Vishal Sudan 2–0

Final:

Dr. Tarseem Singh edged past Dr. Sandeep Arya in a gripping match, winning 2–1 to claim the title.

Dr. Tarseem Singh & Dr. Shubnandan Singh Jamwal lifted the Men’s Doubles trophy with a solid 2–0 win over Dr. Sandeep Arya & Dr. Noor-ul-Asrar Beg.
