A two-week online refresher course in Environmental Sciences (Interdisciplinary)started at the University of Jammu, Jammu. Prof. S. K. Pandita, Director, Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), University of Jammu graced the inaugural event as Chief Guest. Professor Panditain his address emphasized utilizing the knowledge gained by the faculty members during the refresher course to make aware the students of their respective educational institutions about sustainable practices and recent advancements in the field of environmental sciences. Earlier, Prof. Piyush Malaviya, Course Coordinator and Head, Department of Environmental Sciences welcomed the participants of the refresher course.He explained the overall structure of the refresher course and informed that due to the interdisciplinary nature of the course, experts from diverse educational and research institutions and industries, and various geographical regions both from within and outside India, having expertise in varied research fields are invited for knowledge sharing in this course. The formal vote of thanks was presented by Course Co-coordinator Dr. Deepika Slathia. The course is being attended by more than 30 faculty members from various institutions across the country.
