The P.G. Department of Commerce, JU host an insightful session on “Qualitative Analysis” for the faculty and scholars

The P.G. Department of Commerce, University of Jammu today hosted an insightful session on “Qualitative Analysis” for the faculty and scholars, conducted by the esteemed Prof. R K Singh, former Head and Dean of the Department of Commerce,  Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, The event aimed at enhancing understanding about qualitative analysis. The programme commenced with the formal welcome address by Prof. Gurjeet Kaur, H.O.D, Commerce where she welcomed the worthy resource person. Prof R K Singh, with his extensive experience and scholarly expertise, provided a comprehensive overview of qualitative analysis, emphasizing its significance in contemporary research. The session covered a range of topics including data collection techniques, thematic analysis, and the interpretation of qualitative data. Prof Singh’s interactive approach and practical examples allowed participants to gain a deeper understanding of applying these methods in real-world scenarios. The Department expressed gratitude to Prof. R.K. Singh for his insightful thoughts and commended the participants for their active participation and engagement. This session was attended by the scholars of Department of Commerce, School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and The Business School.  Further, the department believes in equipping the faculty and scholars with research practices that help them to draw crucial insights to solve the societal problems. The session concluded with a Q&A round, where Prof. Singh addressed various queries from the participants, further clarifying concepts and offering guidance on individual research projects.
