Three-day MDP for Dept of Horticulture Planning & Marketing concludes at The Business School, JU

The Business School, University of Jammu organized a three-day Management Development Programme (Training the Trainer) on Agricultural Marketing, Post Harvest Management and Export Promotion for the Department of Horticulture Planning and Marketing, Government of Jammu & Kashmir from March 23-25, 2023. Grading and Marketing Inspectors and Assistant Grading and Marketing Officers were trained during the MDP.

54During the three days of the Management Development Program, various sessions were held on Marketing of Agricultural Produce, Branding and Brand Management for Agricultural and Horticulture products, Digital Branding with special reference to Agricultural products, International Business and Trade Exports, Export Policy, Value Chain and Forward Linkages, and Startup Success Stories of Agripreneurs. Prof. Alka Sharmafrom The Business School, University of Jammu; Prof. Sudhakar Dwivedi and Dr. Anil Bhat from SKUAST, Jammu; Dr. Supran Kumar Sharma from SMVDU, Katra and Dr. Rajeshwari S M, Director , Project Management Unit , HADP program, Secretariat, Jammu& Kashmir were the key resource persons.

Mr. Vikas Sharma (JKAS), Director, Department of Horticulture Planning and Marketing, J&K UT Government was the chief guest for the Valedictory session which was held at the Department of Horticulture Planning and Marketing, Narwal, Jammu. While interacting with the dignitaries and participants Mr. Sharma assured for long term association with The Business School.Prof. Alka Sharma Director, Skill Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre, University of Jammu, presided over the valedictory function and highlighted the relevance of such events in the professional growth and development of the Agriculture and Horticulture sector of this region and applauded the collaboration with The Business School.
