Udhampur Campus, University of Jammu organised a webinar in collaboration with the University of Jammu Special Purpose Vehicle Foundation under the Udhampur Campus Capacity Building Series (UCCBS) on the topic “Social Balanced Scorecard: Strengthening Overall Well-Being and Enhancing Performance of The Society” on 21st June 2022 under patronship of Professor Umesh Rai, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor University of Jammu and under convenorship of Professor Parikshat Singh Manhas Rector, Udhampur Campus. Dr. Vijay Kumar Gupta (Professor IIM, Indore ), was the resource person for the webinar. He started the webinar with his remarkable words that balancing short-term and long-term goals are crucial for a successful life. Success can be measured in terms of financial and non-financial perspectives. He also stated that one can create his/her value by ensuring contribution towards society, personal and professional career. Prof. Gupta said that a balanced scorecard can be prepared and measured in terms of professional, personal and social. He said that skills are required to make our dreams true. Prof. Gupta focused that our vision should be clear in terms of finance, career, relationship, health and professional growth. Further, the speaker shared his insights on a balanced scorecard and said that it is a strategy performance management tool, used to keep the track of the execution of activities to control and monitor the consequences that arise from their actions. Participants were also taught about planning for short-term and long-term goals. Prof. Gupta makes the participants aware of the various avenues to get them equipped with greater financial knowledge to reach their financial goals. He focused that being acquainted with financial information helps the individual to reduce financial stress and anxiety. Prof. Gupta had given various examples to the participants like how to develop and promote their values.
