The hostel organizes following events/activities:

  1. Introduction and farewell parties for the incoming out and outgoing students respectively.
  2. Celebration of festivals such as Lohri , Eid, Holi, Gurupurab, Diwali  Christmas etc.
  • Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, JU Organizes one day Workshop on Yoga: Around 200 Girls students from Girls Hostel including the wardens of the Hostel participated in the workshop. Prof. Shashi Manhas was the Special Guest of the occasion.
  • Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav: JU Organises Regional Cultural fest:  As part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, Girls Hostels of the University of Jammu, organised a Regional Cultural fest, which is the first of its kind initiative in the University. Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, the Chief Guest on the occasion said that after witnessing a mesmerising performance of the students, he announced that function shall be a permanent feature to be held in University Auditorium and all the expenses shall be borne by the Office of  Dean Students Welfare

  • Celebration of Lohri Festival and New Year at Girls’ Hostels, University of Jammu with Festive Fervour: The Office of Provost Girls’ Hostel University of Jammu organized a Lohri Festival marking the harvest festival and the advent of New Year in the Girls’ Hostel Premises. Hundreds of Boarders from all four Girls' Hostels participated in the programme as such sort of function was organized for the first time in the University of Jammu.

  • A Two-Day Induction Program, Social and Cultural Holi Mahotsav held at Girls’ Hostel, JU: The Girls’ Hostels, University of Jammu hosted a successful 2-day induction program which was followed by social and cultural interaction of boarders and celebration of floral Holi Mahotsav at the girls' hostel premises.  The program aimed to welcome new boarders and introduce them to the hostel culture, while also providing an opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate the joyous festival of Holi.
