Kathua Campus, JU organizes a webinar on ‘Lifelong Learning Skills’

Department of Computer Science & IT, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu (JU) organized a webinar titled “Lifelong Learning Skills” for the students. The students of MCA and MBA departments from Kathua Campus and B.Tech. from University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), University of Jammu were the participants during the webinar. Ms. Saudamini Singh, Life Coach, and Consultant was the resource person who has more than 17 years of rich experience in Human Resource Management and is presently associated with Kapgrow Corporate Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi.

Ms. Singh outspread her topic by claiming that lifelong learning refers to holistic learning for life and work and added that the aim of lifelong learning is to equip the learner with the necessary foundation and motivation to continue learning throughout life. She advances the discussion by elaborating on the practical aspects of Interview Hacking, Resume/CV Writing, Communication Skills, Leadership Qualities, Thinking Skills, and Personal & Professional Development. She deliberated that leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.  She briefed the topic by extensive discussion of the most neglected yet vital part of life i.e., happiness, and how to achieve it in various ways to remain positive in every aspect of life.

Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Rector, Kathua Campus said that Kathua Campus is committed to provide quality education and state-of-the-art facilities to the students and added that organizing such webinars gives exposure and augments the overall personality of the students. She assured that these types of activities shall also be organized in the forthcoming time for the orientation of students and benefitting them during their stay in the campus so that they will be ready for future endeavors.

Dr. Sourabh Shastri, Incharge Head of the MCA Department thanked the resource person for sparing her time to indulge in the fruitful interaction with the students of the campus. He emphasized the adoption of these valuable learning skills by the students in day-to-day life.
